Pakistan Military appoints first feminine lieutenant basic

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Military has appointed a girl officer as lieutenant basic for the primary time, the army’s media wing stated on Tuesday.
Main Common Nigar Johar, who received the coveted publish of a three-star basic, has additionally been appointed as the primary feminine surgeon basic of the Pakistan Military.
“She is the first feminine officer to be promoted as Lieutenant Common. The officer has been appointed as 1st feminine Surgeon Common of Pakistan Military,” the Inter-Companies Public Relations (ISPR) Director Common Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar tweeted.
Johar graduated from the Military Medical School, Rawalpindi, in 1985 and joined the military’s Medical Corps.
In 2017, she grew to become the third girl officer within the Pakistan Military to achieve the rank of main basic. The opposite two girls main generals have been Shahida Badsha and Shahida Malik.
Each her father and husband additionally served within the Military.
